Community project in Maad, Ghalboun
It is within the framework of a university course, taught in the 2nd year of the Bachelor’s degree in social work at the Lebanese School of Social Training of the University of Saint Joseph (ELFS), that a team of 17 students, accompanied by their professor and two members of the association USJ en mission, undertakes a community work in Maad, Jbeil, from October 31st to December 1st 2021 and ghalboun in October 2022 and Bejje in 2023. An action that aims to “assess the needs and demands of the residents in order to improve their village and ensure a better quality of life there”
Project Objectives:
– To identify the needs, problems and potential of the village of Maad & Ghalboun
– To suggest possible projects according to local capacities and resources.
After the students presented the results of the study on December 4, 2021 through a meeting of the administrators and students of the study with a group of inhabitants in the presence of Moukhtar Antoine El Hajj, a discussion took place with the participants on the results and how to work with their results for the improvement and development of the village.
